Natural Stone Care & Maintenance
Congratulations on choosing Natural Stone for your decorative surfaces!
In order to protect your investment, please follow these recommendations:

Remember that all natural stone is absorbent. Use care with liquids such as Red Wines, and all Cooking Oils. Clean up spills
immediately. |

Natural Stone should be sealed upon installation. Use a quality impregnating sealer. We recommend
HMK
S34 Silicone Impregnator to seal and protect your investment. |
|
|
Use PH neutral cleaners. Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaners. Do not use ammonia, or Windex® with ammonia on or near
any marble or limestone. Regular Windex® may be used on granite surfaces only. We highly recommend cleaning products from HMK®-Germany.

Liquid Stone Soap is a general purpose, maintenance cleaner and conditioner.

Marble & Granite Polish is a polish and protector. These products can be ordered by calling (406) 880-7866.

For Showers and Tubs: test your water supply to make sure your water is PH neutral. Hard water and heavy minerals will stain
marble surfaces and will require frequent maintenance.

Special Note!!

If you use a water softener, use the lowest salt level possible. High sodium levels can be caustic to marble and limestone surfaces. |

Wash stone surfaces weekly using
HMK® P24 Liquid
Stone Soap. Do not rinse, use a quality squeegee to remove soap. Regular use of P24 will enhance and protect stone creating
a rich natural patina. |

|
For stone floors. Clean floors weekly using
HMK® P24
Liquid Stone Soap.
Use a separate mop and bucket for mopping stone floors. Do not mix other cleaning agents in mops
used for stone maintenance. |
|
|
For natural stone counters: Use a Ph neutral mild dish soap, or use
HMK® P24
Liquid Stone Soap.
